Cannot find key assignement for control lock / gurt lock

Recommended Posts

Dear all,

I purchased lately majestic q400, which has a control lock lever ( i Think also known as gurt lock or in some documents aileron lock). I put a lot of effort to find the keyboard assignement for this Level so i can Mappe it to my throttle quadrant...but i can simply not find it.... May be someone knows it?

Thank you in advance!

I think you mean gust lock.

Not sure about the key assignment however.

There is no keyboard assignment AFAIK as I use my scroll action on the mouse to move the Majestic Q8-400's gust lock(also in an ATR72-500) forward to enable aircraft movement.

Hello vc10man,

thanks for your reply.
I think there Must be an Existing command: if this exist https://throttletek.com/dash-q-400-throttle/

than there should be a command, i Suppose...

That is a very professional looking and expensive throttle. In that case, I cannot supply an answer.

If you have FSUIPC you can, (or should be able to) create/assign a button/switch/key. There's a bit of a learning curve to it, but a quick search turned up this decent post which outlines the process for A2A's  "AccuSim" product:
https://a2asimulations.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=55&t=19524
It doesn't specifically talk about the 172's gust lock, but some digging around the internet and I'm sure you can find a post with a "how-to" on one of the hundreds of FSUIPC Q & A posts on the FSX forums. The Q400 will be close.

edit:  Here's another very useful one: this is exactly what I mean:-

Thank you very much!!!

I do indeed have FSUIPC and I tried the A2A link you shared, https://a2asimulations.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=19751 to be more precise and it worked fine!!!

Again, Thank you very much, I spent hours and hours looking for a solution, I all most gave up.

Have a nice day!

Regards

Benams1
