How much are 2 Petabytes?

Recommended Posts

Because there's not much news here right now, something technical for you 😉

We know FS2020 uses 2PB Data for the whole earth,

but how many are 2PB? if you think thats alot, then check out Global Steam Traffic Map

Germany had 21,6PB downloads the last 7 days and the US had 75,6PB downloads in the last 7 days.

In 2018 Steam delivered 15 billion gigabytes of data, That's 15 Exabytes

Valve says its network capacity is also growing 50 percent year over year 😅

Some more Info, Steam deployed new SQL Servers now with 2.7 petabytes of FAST solid state storage.

now i think i can live with 2PB 😁

It’s worth pointing out that the content in the new sim is derived from 2PB of data, that doesn’t mean it equals 2PB.

I mean, look above your post. Clearly at least one mod doesn't mind it.

1024kb = 1mb - 1024mb = 1gb - 1024gb = 1tb - 1024tb = 1pb

Being pedantic, and to avoid annoying the Système international (d'unités):

1024KiB = 1MiB - 1024MiB = 1GiB - 1024GiB = 1TiB - 1024TiB = 1PiB
