Eerything seems pretty good as-is out of the box. I was actually in the "FS9 with add-ons looks better than FSX" crowd untill I actually bought and played FSX. Now I am of the opinion that FSX is quite a bit better than FS9 with add-ons. I'm still gonna get the FS Genesis stuff as I love their work and it can only make the nice mesh even better, but overall, I must say that FSX looks fantastic out of the box. October 9, 200619 yr There is a huge difference with stock FSX vs FSX with UT/FSGen. The water data aka streams/lakes/rivers, night is different with lights, night textures too. The mesh in the Maritimes, Eastern Canada, isn't flat anymore too.You should see CYYZ at dusk/night, with the street lights and FSX cars. Its crazy.
October 9, 200619 yr >I was actually in the "FS9 with add-ons looks better than FSX">crowd untill I actually bought and played FSX...FS-X is nice, once I added the UT Canada dir as scenery, it started coming to life. Be great when UT is updated for FS-X. Tried some FS-X missions, etc, it has a lot to offer and will continue to get better as PC's advance.
