GSX latest update , no simobjects displaying!

Recommended Posts

I've tried help everywhere...even FST...and nothing so far can correct this.

The problem...when at an airport, only the shadows of the vehicles, and the jet-ways show...the people are there, sitting in the air...the DELTA logos are there but no jetways sim objects where they are supposed to be attached to the wall of.......but no object is displaying. I have tried everything, even removing both the P3D.cfg and the SIMOBJECTS.cfg to let them rebuild.  After all that....the same deal....GSX regenerates, and then only shadows of vehicles, only shadows of jet-ways...and the animation characters....sitting within or upon the non-displaying sim objects.

So again, to be clear...no vehicles show...no jet ways show.....only their shadows upon the ground....

Any suggestions would be most appreciative, if you also have had this problem, and got it fixed.

....also, I have totally reinstalled GSX using the full installer...and that did not fix the problem...

As far as I remember, FSDT solved the issues with a windows module that required reboot after installation of the update, and then after the issues were solved days before christmas. I updated by then and luckily I have no issues right now.

I can also see several reports of things going south at the FSDT forums, but they (and "they" means Umberto) seem to be on vacation.

Maybe it's better to wait a bit until he returns.

Have you tried to reboot?. Try applying the update again and right after reboot your PC. Then test again.

Thanks for all that, Ed.   I'm right now just trying to load the latest 4.5.x from my 4.4 P3D. See if that helps.  If not...I'll wait around...thanks again!

Actually, I have NOT done that...that's about the only thing. Ok..good idea...will finish loading in the 4.5 (latest) Client...and then reboot!  If that fixes it...I'll report back...if nothing...then nada...

Nope...GSX is now completely borked...and useless. I might as well delete it, and see what the dev does about it....everything is there...all functions work...except you see no jet ways, and no vehicles of any kind. Only as I said, the jet way shadows and the vehicle shadows are upon the ground...with the animation people suspended above the ground, (where I guess they should be standing or sitting on/in the vehicles)  For all, I wouldn't update anything, until the Dev comments on what is going on...and a fix.

I understand you're focused on FSDT and GSX software...I'm wondering if what you're seeing may be a SODE issue? (Whenever I hear no jetways, I think of SODE.)

Does this same phenomenon happen at all airports? (Test preferably with an unaltered, non-SODE airport.)

My $0.02.

Good luck and I hope you quickly find a solution.

Ohh, that's bad. One should have enormous amount of patience with those couatl things everytime a FSDT product get updated or installed. Hopefully Umberto is back soon, and he'll help to fix all issues.

Thanks for reporting this. I'll make no updates for the time being.

I'm on P3D v4.5.13.32097 (4.5HF2) and not seeing this.  I wonder if it's a 4.4 vs 4.5 compatibility thing.

Thanks Rob...yep, did that...even uninstalled the latest version (with PBR) of GSX,  and then ran P3D 4.4, and everything was back to normal...as GSX uninstall restores what it alters.  I then unregistered SODE for both FSX Steam and P3D 4.4. Then....ran the latest GSX installer again, and in the setup, you register SODE for any and all flight sims. I did that for P3D 4.4.   Fine....ran P3D 4.4, and everything was screwed up again.  It absolutely is a borking, with the new latest, GSX update.  Everything is 'installed', but for some reason,  no vehicle sim objects display, and no SODE jetways display...BUT...the 'invisible' objects...cast shadows...and if I for instance call up boarding....you see the people animations move towards the loading bays....driving 'invisible' loaders....with the shadows moving, as they would IF...there was a machine/unit to see.  Then, they 'get out' of their driver's seats...stand as they always do...and as soon as the baggage cart(s) (shadows) come near them and stop, they start their reaching out and putting a suitcase onto the loading ramp.   So....it is obvious that part of the coding...is screwed up.  Hopefully, the Dev will read this complaint...and what is happening, and come up with a fix/update.
