RXP GTN 750 with Oculus Rift

Recommended Posts

I've just purchased the GTN 750 so that I can use it while flying the Flysimware's Learjet 35A in VR using Oculus Rift. However; since adding it to the panel my frame rates drop to a point where I continually get an hourglass popping up and the screen stutters to a point where it is unflyable.

I'm running Intel Core i7-8700K Liquid Cooled CPU, 11GB GDDR5X NVIDIA GTX 1080Ti GPU, Windows 10 Professional, 1TB PCIe SSD + 2TB 7200RPM HDD, 64GB DDR4 RAM

Hi,

Which simulator are you flying with?

Is this with the GTN in a popup window? the 3D panel? Both?

What resolution are you running the VR displays at?

Can you please try the following:

  1. Locate the RealityXP.GTN.ini file in the L3A aircraft folder
  2. Open the file with notepad
  3. Scroll until you find the following line:
    [GTN_750_1]
  4. Add the following line right below (documented in the RXP GTN User's Manual):
    DebugValue = 1
  5. Save and close notepad.
  6. Reload the simulator and the aircraft, like you usually do.
  7. Once aircraft loaded in VR etc.., close the simulator and report if there is any particular entry in the RXP log files (see User's Manual for file/path).
