I like some dirt and smudges on the cockpit controls, as I think it is more realistic.  But I agree, the windshield should be clean.  If they add options, then the settings for those two should be separate.

In Forza Motorsport 7 the windshield gets dirty while driving. I think this would also be nice in MSFS (with an "Cleaning" Option 😊)

I am hoping the aircraft will be 'alive' like A2A, where flight time begins to affect things, like wear and tear, but to a greater extent the need for proper maintenance.  I also hope such persistence (as an option, of course) can lead to failures - and not ones we create ourselves.  The idea there could be consequences to poor maintenance, piloting, or random, unforeseen occurrences adds that 'fear factor' that makes 'just simming' a bit more consequential.
