Does Nvidia driver download 441.87 include NCP?

The Nvidia installer gives the option to do a "clean installation", that way you can remove any remains from previous drivers and have a safe installation.

Sorry don't think so. If you put a check mark in the clean install box it just removes any saved profiles you have. Not the application itself. At least that is what I think.

Says it's Game Ready and NCP is definitely there, just updated yesterday

OK here is the link you downloaded it from. right?

https://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us

Click search, Click download, click download again, then you get the save file popup.

Look at what it says: 441.87-desktop-win10-64bit-international-dch-whql

That download does not included that Nvidia Control Panel.

Perhaps it makes no difference. I don't know

But if you are seeing the Nvidia Control Panel after installing

that download I'm confident its from your previous driver install.

Did you guys remove the old driver with DDU before installing the new one?

I do same as Ed, clean install and DDU couple times a year.

Correct! 👍  Gerald, if you didn't use DDU before installing the 441.87's then the CP you have is from your previous driver install (hey no problem, it still works the same way  ).

Evening Gentlemen,

I stand corrected on all counts. I did my due diligence and found out that I had indeed been installing the DCH drivers for who knows how long. I did the whole drill on removing and installing the new 441.87's from Techspot and now have the correct ones. Guess Nvidia goes on my non-trusted list. I figured I could trust them to at least tell me the truth about what I was downloading. Do not understand the MS Store thing at all.

This is why I love this forum, there is always something to learn and I did learn something today. It's a good day...😊.

My thanks to everyone for the great info.

Best,

Gerald
