I will refrain from further discussions on this and future topics about "VR" -- useless!

"Left Behind" comes to mind when trying to engage such talks.

I think you've missed the point Prince. All that was said was that videos on a monitor do not give ANY indication of what it's like in VR. We're all pro VR here so we're not your enemies.

I read this thread and I'm getting convinced. My mouse cursor has been hovering over the order button for HP Reverb for the last few days.

It's funny though, my first experience with VR was in the early 2000's when I put a pair of 3D Glasses on in FS2000.  On the outside view, When that wing popped out of the screen I screamed. And ever since, I have been waiting for VR and I didnt even know it. Yeah, look at all the videos you wish,  they just aren't the same.

Seriously, if you have the chance to try one you'll need no more. If I were you I'd order one anyway, you have 30 days to get your money back no questions asked. Well it is with Oculus. I presume HP have the same deal.

My first experience with 3D was the Nvidia 3D Vision Kit paired with track ir in FSX,,,,my mind was blown away when my cockpit came to life in full stereoscopic 3D.

All the gauges and controls sticking out of my screen.

Now I'm inside of the cockpit with the immersive surround FOV to go with the stereoscopic 3d.

You can experience 2d 4k 6k 8k all you want but...nothing else compares visually to VR.

The stereoscopic 3d even makes low quality aircraft look amazing

I even tried the convoluted system of software to try VR in fsx using my Samsung gear, S8, and flyinside, Vridge, which wasn't exactly fun using,  still got me to say , I want one (a headset)

Unfortunately Nvidia killed 3D Vision last year..

The made it completely obsolete by removing the drivers in 430 and newer builds.

So we are stuck with useless 3D glasses and monitors now..

Luckily for me my favorite games are all now playable in VR

Yeah, cause I was going to try it again, and noticed the drivers missing. 

Of course, just for the experiment, there are old driver repositories out there... Even Nvidia themselves.

Good question if they would work with a newer card. They might?

Now you also know why VR is so hard to explain with pictureS, videos and words. 

I try VR every time I go to a sim conference, so I understand what the fans are saying, but the resolution is just not fine enough for me yet. I would not recommend buying a VR setup without trying it first.
