Adding the Reality XP GTN 750

Recommended Posts

I've got it working now.. minor change to the Mode Selector code.

The PFD does not yet provide the correct readouts, but that can be fixed also.

For those would like to try this at home.. here are the steps:

1. Remove the LinkVOR=true line in the RXP ini file, if you added it earlier

The two lines you do need are:

[GTN_750_1]
; is the master device if true.
MasterDevice = true
; aviation db: 0: nav_db2_grm, 1: nav_db2, 2: nav_heli_db2_grmn, 3: nav_heli_db2
NavDbType = 1
VoicePref = MALE
LinkCrs = true
UseSimGpsCmds = true

Rheostat.Display = 60

2. Find the CARPRIMUS100_C560XL.cab file in your Gauges folder and from it, extract the

Mode_Selector.xml file, and copy it to the Desktop.

3. Add a new folder to your C56 panel folder and call it CARPRIMUS100_C560XL

4. Edit the Mode_Selector.xml file with Notepad, as follows:

Just search for APPROACH and you will find the section:

          <MouseClick id="MouseClick">
                   <Script>
                    (M:Event) 'LeftSingle' scmp  0 ==
                    if{
                        1 (&gt;L:BUFFER_BTN_FMC,number)
                        (A:AUTOPILOT APPROACH HOLD,BOOL) 0 ==

                        if{   1 (&gt;K:AP_APR_HOLD_ON)   }
                        els{  0 (&gt;K:AP_APR_HOLD_OFF) }

                    }

                    </Script>
                    <ClickType>LeftSingle+LeftRelease</ClickType>
                </MouseClick>

5. Save the file as  Mode_SelectorV3.xml in your new  CARPRIMUS100_C560XL folder.

6. Last step: edit the panel.cfg file and add V3 to the two instances of "Mode Selector"

you can of course choose another name if you prefer :happy:

That should be it!

Bert,

I'm having the same problem but I'm using the Flight1 GTN750.... I wonder if this method will also work for that?

I would think so.. try it!

Hi Bert. Should we still use your latest mods with v1.2 or should we expect new updated ones 😉?
