Beginning to think my I7 with 3.3 GHZ is hurting my chances...

It's not, there are some people on Reddit saying they got in with rather old Core i5 CPUs (Ivy Bridge and Haswell).

From what I've read on reddit it seems like they're still targeting people with 32gb but cpu and video card don't matter much.

Ok.  So they are opening chances again.  What about those of us that have been registered from day 1.  Sorry,  I just dont get it.

Exactly my thoughts. Why are they opening the registration again for the Alpha? Why not finish inviting the current applicants or atleast those who were the first ones to register for TA1 and are still waiting after 3 months...This is really disheartening.

Yep, like pulling carpet under your feet.

We have waited months. I checked website and email every day multiple times.

Same here. It's beginning to get frustrating seeing people that signed up recently getting in over those of use who have been waiting since day 1.

I think this is the recruitment process that they talked about last month, so it was already in the plans. I have the feeling this was supposed to be for the Tech Alpha 3, but now they're probably converging all builds into one since they've made good progress.

Anyway, users with 32GB RAM still seem to be the priority, but there have been quite a few reports of 16GB users getting in this time, and a couple with 8GB even. So they've definitely expanded the hardware range.

Are we sure they are only going after certain systems specs? They will probably have other criteria as well based on the survey which may explain why some with similar systems to those who have been selected have not been invited (so far).

I'm going to lean towards....

They're going to try and have as wide a swath of PC specs as possible (low - high end spec). This way it will give them a better idea as to what final system requirements will be.
