Weird Tiles

Recommended Posts

A new problem has just shown up.  Strange scenery tiles show up all over the place in all views.  I have recently been working a lot to straighten out downloading new NaviGraph files, but don't see how that could be the problem.  I have all the ORBX LandClass files.  I have tried to repair FSX from original disc, but get stopped because of some "missing" files.

I have a couple of questions;

1)  Should I try re-downloading landclass files from ORBX ?  I have a few other earlier landclass files installed, but all below the ORBX files.

2)  Can I repair FSX-Steam from their website ?

Any other suggestions ?  Must be a somewhat common problem.

When you do a repair of FSX (boxed), you need to insert the second disk and, if you have Acceleration, repair that too.  If you do not have Acceleration, you will need to reinstall SP1 and SP2.

If you own FSX Steam, there is an option on their site to fix any problems with your installation.  You cannot use it to repair FSX (boxed).

Navigraph files should not affect scenery.

I would make sure FSX(boxed) or FSX-SE is repaired first before trying to fix your issues with Orbx files.

Thanks, Jim.  I finally went to ORBX forum and found out that this seems to be a common problem, requiring a "Re-Synchronization" of ORBX files.  No one seems to say what might cause it.

I have re-synchronized but have not tried it yet.
