January 28, 20206 yr @Keven Menard as one of your customers I got the email today explaining the situation and I really look forward for the new Skypark. However reading the email twice I still can't really find the answer of these two questions: 1) Who is now responsible for Chaseplane? You, ORBX or Parallel42? 2) You mention a slowdown of development the last 2 years which is true. Is now development going to restart for Chaseplane? Is it going to be more refined and get new features ? Is it going to be more refined and get new features ? 1: The ChasePlane IP is 100% owned by me. Parallel 42 (that includes me) is licensed to market, distribute, update and support the software. 2: Development of Immersion Packages has already picked up but ChasePlane will not see additional features for the time being (unless a crazy idea comes to mind). With MSFS around the corner, we want to put our energy towards releasing The Skypark until we have what we need from Asobo to R&D a new camera system for MSFS. I hope this answers your question! January 29, 20206 yr Thank you very much for the comprehensive reply Keven! You answered all my questions. I have all your products and will continue to support you and Parallel 42 because you bring excellent quality to our simulations : ) Simulators: Prepar3D v5.4 | X-Plane 12 | DCS World | MSFS 2024 | PC Hardware: Dell U3417W | AMD Ryzen 7 9800 X3D | ASUS TUF 5070 Ti | ASUS TUF B580 Plus Wifi | G.Skill Z5 Neo 64GB 3000Mhz CL30 | Samsung 990 Pro 2TB + 970 EVO Plus 1TB + 860 EVO 2TB + 850 EVO 1TB, Western Digital Black Caviar Black 6TB | Corsair RM1000i | Corsair 280 Titan RX | VRM Fan | Fractal Design Define S2 Gunmetal | Flight Controls: Fulcrum One Yoke | Virpil VPC WarBRD Base | Virpil VPC MongoosT-50CM Grip, Thrustmaster Warthog+F/A-18C Grip | VIER IM POTT Sidestick CPT Side | Thrustmaster TPR Rudder Pedals | Virtual Fly TQ6+Throttle Quadrant | Sismo B737 Max Gear Lever | Monsterteck Desk Mounts | WINWING EfisL+FCU+MCDU | My fleet catalog: Link
January 29, 20206 yr Author Hi Keven So, I made the migration from OldProp to ORBX //42. CP works OK with no problem. The only concern I have is that CP does not restore some key presses for navigation (mainly key presses allowing several views using the same key press) It is not a big problem, but I have to restore these for every airplane. Thank you for your good products and support. Patrice. Patrice Dubois
February 5, 20206 yr I'm quite disappointed with the loss of the community presets since the migration. And judging by the statement made last week it doesn't look like it'll be coming back any time soon. Which is a shame because that was one of the main reasons I bought CP in the first place rather then continue investing in Ezdok at the time, I hate spending time setting my own presets and far preferred the obvious advantage of importing other peoples in a matter of seconds. That's why we are supplying a bunch of default presets for the most important aircraft you might have in your collection. You can also import from other aircraft directly in the app, making it really easy to setup Keven Menard Technical Director, //42.
