SDG Cairo Elevation Issue

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I've just purchased the SDG Cairo Airport as there was a P3D V4 installer available on SDG's website. I unfortunately have an elevation problem and the surrounding scenery looks horrible. I am using ORBX Vector and I've disabled HECA. Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix it? I read through a thread which briefly touched on the subject but it wasn't overly clear.

Many thanks,

Jonathan

A very good question because I too have that SDG Cairo although not updated to V4, plus I have another airport by BDO that I have used AIO for and that too has elevation issues, i.e  plane just falling down a ditch off the runway🤣

If you have Orbx World, go into the control panel and there's an elevation fixer for airports.  I've had some weirdness there primarily when landing and went through the runway.

Orbx World,

Don't have that but have Orbx Global. Is it one and the same?

It's actually named "ORBX Global Vector".  In the new Orbx Central go to Global then go to Vector and click Configure..  Then go to Airport Elevation correction tab.
