737 NGXu cockpit texture/lightning

Recommended Posts

Fresh user of that one.

Cockpit during day time is so dark that i cannot see a thing without flood light set to bright.

I use tomato shade with latest preset, but 737 is the only plane with such dark or even black cockpit.

Any remedy ? i would not like to deactivate tomato shade, but maybe can turn off some option to have normal brightness in the cockpit ?

It's definitely a shader issue. There have been many reports on the PMDG forums about this being caused by shader programs. For example, I can't use the tweak to turn off the HDR luminance adaptation effect in PTA because this will darken the cockpit a lot. All other tweaks, including virtual cockpit lighting tweaks, work fine.

See if you're using this tweak in TomatoShade and turn it off.

I see this when using Rex EF/SF in the new 737ngxu and the aerosoft A330 in 4.5 HF2. The dome light doesn't seem to have any effect on the cockpit lighting. My fix was to change the time of day once in the sim, which reloads something (textures?) then the dome light works fine in both cases. Its really weird and any comments to Rex, PMDG or aerosoft results in 'ask the other guy'.

Other 'older' PMDG aircraft and the rest of the airbuses are ok.
