Add the RXP GTN to F1’s GTN unit

Recommended Posts

If you own the the Cessan 441, 402 or the MU2B and own the RXP GTN 750 you can add the RXP GTN 750 to the integrated Flight 1 GTN 750 by following this tutorial. You will also need to download this file if you want full control of the button and knobs. This file is not required since you can control the GTN 750 using the touch screen for those features.

REMINDER FOR THE CESSNA 402 TURN THE BRIGHTNESS DOWN FOR THE RXP USING THE SETTINGS.

DOWNLOAD rxpGTN folder for tutorial.

To expand a bit on the above topic:

To get everything to work you need to download a folder called rxpGTN from here:

https://www.dropbox.com/s/8egnuc87fesggcb/rxpGTN.zip?dl=0

Extract the rxpGTN folder from the zip file (which contains a file called f1vc.xml) and paste the rxpGTN folder into the aircraft's panel folder ( or the panel folder that deals with GTNs if there is more than one panel folder , e.g., panel_GTN). Make sure you drill down thru the zip file to get to the final rxpGTN folder with f1vc.xml inside.

Run the app RXP GTN settings... from the sim's Add-on drop down menu as shown in the video above. Make sure you select No Bezel by scrolling down in the app. Then after running the app open the aircraft's panel.cfg file with a text editor and search for all [VCockpit##] entries that have a gauge 00 line with rxpGTN in it, and add the line  gauge01=rxpGTN!f1vc,0,0,1,1   as shown below. Then save the panel.cfg file.

[VCockpit34]
size_mm=1024,1024
pixel_size=1024,1024
visible=1
texture=$GTN750

gauge00=rxpGTN!GTN_750_1, 0, 0,677,794,NO_BEZEL
gauge01=rxpGTN!f1vc,0,0,1,1

In the RXP GTN's popup settings window, which you get using Shift+right click in the upper right corner of the RXP GTN's 2D popup, scroll down about halfway and make sure the setting Use Simulator GPS Commands is on.

Finally reload the aircraft.
