PMDG 737-800 NGX WGL lights switches not working

Recommended Posts

Hello All,

Maybe beating a dead horse here but I have installed the latest LINDA application onto my machine and am trying to program the buttons on the HoneyComb Yoke to correctly control the exterior lights on the A/C (i.e strobes, landing lights, beacon,etc.). I can see the button activity occur in the LINDA log screen but the PMDG panel is not switching the lights on/off on the screen.. I have Win10, P3D 4.5, the latest LINDA and FSUIPC applications and have downloaded the 737-800NGX module for LINDA.

Do you have the NGXu? If so you will need to download and install the latest versions of LINDA 3.1.0 and the 737 NGX module 4.15a.

There is a error in the LINDA GUI that is causing an unusual outcome. Can you open LINDA and turn off the Spash Screen (LINDA Setup)? Also download and install FSUIPC 5.153. Then re-run the test and send me the logs again.

I am not seeing any LINDA logging in the fsuipc5.log. In LINDA select Maintenance and click Turn ON Fault Diagnosis button. You also have additional FSUIPC Event logging turned on. In FSUIPC5 please deselect any additional logging.

Then restart both LINDA and P3D press the affected buttons and email be the logs again.

Thanks for those logs. I can see LINDA starting and finding the 737NGX and then nothing.
You have separate LUA logging set to ON. Look a FSUIPC debug page and turn this option and events off. Can you also delete the LINDA.log?

Next start LINDA and P3D, press any number of  buttons and then close P3D and LINDA. Wait to both stop fully. Then re-send the logs again.

Thank you the latest logs. It now looks correct as far as I can see. LINDA is starting as expected and I can see you loading the 737NGX and operating the light switches to call the default Lights functions (eg. Lights_BEACON_on) .

I can’t check on my PC at the moment but I am sure that there are 737NGX specific functions. Try searching the 737NGX modules for the appropriate functions and assign them to your buttons.

Please refer to the manual (link of LINDA main page right. This is an essential feature to using LINDA.

Basically, open the Joystick Setup and select the Yoke. Press the button you want to program to highlight it on the page. Right click on the OnPress column to call up the modules menu. Select the 737NGX sub-menu and look up the function you wish to “assign” to that button. Click Save and then test button.

Thanks.... I see the Alpha Yoke in the list but can't select it.

I right clicked on the OnPress and i see the sub mneu . I selected the the 737 module functions.. these are no functions in the list. it's empty...

UPDATE:

I did a complete re-install of LINDa and re-imported the 737 modules into their correct directories... NOW the switches ARE working! YAY! Thank you
