Planes that become invisible

Recently added some really nice Rio De Janeiro scenery but a new problem has reared itself.

See screenshot below.   The plane is the Ruth Thomas L1011.....but it keeps becoming invisible and I have no clue why.....or what to do about it.

Anyone else ever seen this ?

DX010 preview unchecked?  Maybe uncheck aircraft shadows.

Awaiting the new Microsoft Flight Sim and the purchase of a new system.  Running a Chromebook for now! :cool:

Using DX9.  DX10 un checked.

Good idea.  Will try turning off shadows.
