FEATURE DISCOVERY SERIES

  • EPISODE 6 – 02.20

We are scheduled to release Episode 6 (Airports) in our update next week! This episode will provide an in-depth look at the airports we are building for the next generation of Microsoft Flight Simulator.

  • EPISODE 7 – 03.05

Episode 7 (IFR) has officially been scheduled for release on March 5th!

ALPHA INVITATIONS GOING OUT NOW!

Starting today (02.13) through next Tuesday (02.18), we will be sending out another round of Alpha invitations!

SDK UPDATE

We are still in the process of rolling out SDK access to all of our partners. If you’ve not yet received access, hang in there as we are working to get everyone added as quickly as possible.

Currently, we’ve got over 30 partners with access to the SDK. The feedback has been incredibly beneficial to the team as we continue to work hard on upcoming features.

In the next Alpha update, you can expect improvements for existing tools, a new in-game aircraft editor will allow configuration tuning for aircraft parameters including the flight model with onscreen debug support.

Stunning screenshots aside (where it seems the Grand Caravan EX is now flyable and points of interest are highlighted in the UI), there is plenty of information in this update. New Alpha invitations will be sent out for one week starting today (aimed at users with 16GB RAM, apparently), SDK access is rolling out with 30 partners, and now we have three Feature Discovery Series episodes to look forward to.

  • Episode 6 (Airports) - 20 February
  • Episode 7 (IFR) - 5 March
  • Episode 8 (Multiplayer) - Late March

Also, my thanks to the team for posting the update at an earlier time, more comfortable for European users.

Upgraded from 16gb to 32gb purely for the alpha an now may miss out again as no doubt they will focus on access for 16gb (head in hands)

I can name four so far.

One is Miromar Lakes near Ft. Myers Florida. And the one directly below it is pretty self explanatory. Rio de Janeiro.

And considering that it says "Walt Disney World" in the one below that it should obviously be Orlando. 😉

The last one is San Francisco.

We just can’t catch a break mate. I really just hope they prioritise their day one alpha boys who have been waiting along time now.

All you guys who upgraded to 32GB could roll the dice again and take a stick or two out and go back to 16GB

I feel your pain though.

Hopefully those that deserve to get in the Alpha will do so from today, through to next week.
