Can't change transponder code

Recommended Posts

Hello,

For some reason I can't change my transponder code from 1200. I've tried right/left clicking the black wheel in the center, spinning the middle mouse wheel but no dice. Everything else on the panel seems to respond to the mouse clicks (changing modes, running tests, etc.).

What am I missing?

If you're using the GTN, you need to set the mode C there...if it's active it will override the panel gauge and prevent an input there I think.

I'm currently troublshooting the Flight1 GTN 750 also. Hopefully that will be the ultimate fix. To be honest, I wouldn't mind getting rid of it all and just flying /A. Is there a way to do this?

The Falcon50 comes with the default FSW GNS530 GPS which you can reinstall if necessary with the GPS Management tool. Install that GPS and just leave it turned off (it has a round power switch in the upper left corner). Or, of course, just use that simpler FSW GPS for course navigation  -- don't think it has a Transponder function to conflict with the center console transponder.

Set the installed Transponder to the last setting of the left knob.
them you can change it on the GTN.

Update! There is a new update to the Flight1 GTN. I have installed this and now things appear to be working correctly. It will be nice to be able to fly /L if I want.

As for the default transponder issue, I found it does work with the middle button click that they recommend in the documentation, although sometimes it takes multiple middle clicks to get the first digit to blink.

Otherwise, a very fun aircraft. Thanks for the help everyone.

I know F1 GTN ver2.13 has been out for a while -- is ver 2.14 out?

Thx,

Al
