PSXseeconTraffic stops working after 10 – 15 minutes

Recommended Posts

Hi Nico,

  to get on with the existing problem
I activated the Simconnect Console.

  The following error was always seen there after PSX was aborted

[63] I/O Error (1, 8000-4004) ;

It didn't matter whether the second Simconnect client ( FS-FlightControl ) was running or not .

If only the second client is running, no error occurs.

My active Simconnect version is 10.0.61259.0

Maybe you have an idea?

Besides, I deactivated unnecessary services in Windows 10 (client PC) and in Windows 7 (FSX PC) - no improvement.

Best Regards

It is your Windows setup or a hardware issue. That makes it very difficult to find and solve it.

Perhaps you have tried it already by run PSXT + RT as Administrator.

I don’t understand any of it and in conclusion somebody mentions that they fixed it by;

Maybe it will shine some light on the disconnects

Hi,

Well I have no idea what I can do in PSXT do fix this, At the start of PSXT it only executes this single line:

SimConnect_SubscribeToSystemEvent(hSimConnect, EVENT_1SEC, "1sec");

That's all... PSXT should receive every second an event from SimConnect

Do realize that there are several other programs that use SimConnect (SODE, CaptainSim 757, vPilot, to name a few).

Maybe making a flight with another user aircaft will make a difference???

For other users then Yak54: Install this SimConnect.ini in C:\users\<your account>\Documents\Prepar3D v4 Files   (FSX users: choose anotther location, for instant end with Documents)

[SimConnect]
level=normal
;console=1
;RedirectStdOutToConsole=1
;OutputDebugString=1
file=C:\users\<your account>\Documents\Prepar3D v4 Files\SimConnect%03u.log
;file_next_index=0
;file_max_index=9

(FSX users: adapt the line file=)

and see what happened in the Log file afterwards. There will be a line that shows the number given to PSXseeconTraffic by SimConnect:

> 23.53604 [ 4, 1]Open: Version=0x0000001F  Name="PSXseeconTraffic"

4 is the value for PSXseeconTraffic in this example, so you should see that number used in the other trace info.

I have activated the simconnect log file,
4 clients can be seen there:

[127] FS Flightcontrol

[128] FSUIPC

[63] PSX

[129] battery_charger (used for APU Funktion)

So the error message  [63] i/o Error ! (2,80004004) really belongs to PSX.

I also tested another user aircraft, but the error remains.

I have already exchanged network adapters, also no improvement.

If only PSX is started, it will take longer for the error to occur.

Something must be time critical.

Best Regards

For a test I make sure that all these three programs run as administrator.

C:\PSXseeconTraffic\PSXseeconTraffic.exe

C:\Program Files\RealTraffic\RealTraffic.exe

C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.8.0_241\bin\javaw.exe

I am still testing but it seems like there is improvement.
please make a note that the Java is not Java.exe but Javaw.exe

I had time again to deal with this problem.

I identified two possible causes of this in my system:

1.MyTraffic - I deactivated MyTraffic but did not uninstall it.

It so happened that sporadically planes were traveling from A to B and obviously interfered with PSXT!

Strangely enough, MyTraffic was not displayed in the Simconnect Console as a simconnect client.

2. Real weather - activated in FS-Flightcontrol. If this option is active, the error occurs after some time!

I cannot say whether all the errors have been found.

At the moment my system is running stable, but there is hardly any real traffic.

Best Regards

I think that MyTraffic does not use SimConnect, it is a (.bgl) file that is used by FlightSimulator directly, just like the built-in AI traffic.

You should set your AI traffic percentage in your sim at 0.

I have no list... cannot do much about it.

Maybe P3DV5 gives better results.

"I have no list... cannot do much about it. "  That is actually a saying in English because you had previously stated only three users reported the problem.  Bu the problem seems to be with your latest version as we did not have the problem with previous versions correct?

No, some people always had this problem. I've only made it more clear by giving it an error message (no heartbeat) in later versions.

It looks something with your local SimConnect.

I have never been able to reproduce this error at my PC.

But it is interesting that it has only started happening with me in the last few months, which means you made a change in one of your newer versions.  I did do a flight over an hour w/ no problems...
