Hi

 

When trying to load simconnect in p3d I'm asked what do I want to open simconnect with i.e. Notepad, explorer etc.  What do I need?

You need to install the file with the extension of ".MSI"

There are many forum threads about how and who and why and where.

Thank you.  I often get a box opening up asking what I want to open up with.  How do I chose?

Are your referring to the sinconnect.xml file? If so, preferably something like Notpad+ or Notepad. Save as type UTF-8.

Maybe it would be best if you explained what you are trying to do / accomplish my friend.  Depending on that that is, you might get many different answers.
