February 26, 20206 yr I tried installing the milviz 737-200 into my P3dV4 and it crashed to the desktop near the end of the process. Installed with no problem into FSX-SE. Now whenever I load anything else the screen keeps twitching about every two seconds. Am I going to have to do a fresh install (and have to reinstall all my 3rd party aircraft)? Doesn't happen with any other simulator (FSX, XP11, TS2020). Ken Edited February 26, 20206 yr by kenp51
February 27, 20206 yr Sounds almost like a hardware issue to me. It could be that the installer is pushing the hardware just enough to cause this in P3D and not in the other sims. Have you stress-tested your PC lately? Rhett 7800X3D ♣ 96 GB G.Skill Flare ♣ Gigabyte 4090 ♣ Crucial P5 Plus 2TB
February 27, 20206 yr Try right clicking on your Prepar3d icon, then select Properties. Click on the Compatibility tab, then check mark the box next to Disable Full Screen Optimizations and see if that fixes the problem. Alan
February 27, 20206 yr and if that does not work, limit the frame rate to 60 or less, 30 would be ideal.
March 2, 20206 yr Author Well, I got impatient and uninstalled P3D before some of you posted suggestions. No big loss since I didn't have much in the way of addons installed. So, today I did a clean install and launched P3D with no mods. The flicker was just as bad! Then I tried the suggestion from exeodus and behold! Problem solved. You are a genius sir! Thank you all who responded ... I appreciate the help. Ken
