Just copy and paste the contents of the log file. It would probably help if you shared some folders on your FS PC so you could access it from another. But given you’re not comfortable with the OS that is probably not an option.

Name and model of USB hubs please. Mine was much newer but W10 did not like it.

Knowing what country you’re in would be helpful.

Hi Ray

Im in the 5th most populated country now with Coronavirus, England 689 people per square mile.  Very worrying times.

All PCs are networked together, so I can access folders, just keep Emails off of them. Yes. Copy and past should be OK, Difficult to get the make of the hubs as they are built in, I will try.

Tried a different hub, Connected the two up to it, but still the same ,one will not come on line, You can trick it to come on, by pulling the usb in and out a few times, then all 6 will work for that session.

On close down. ,one will remain lit up, until pc shuts down.

Hi Trubshaw, same country so no time difference. 👍 I don't know of anyone with coronovirus so I'm not going to worry about something that has only affected 0.0000001% of the population. :wink:

It's very dificult to offer any more advice than I have already given. I don't think the different model numbers of the GF46s is an issue. I still suspect you might be overloading the hubs because even powered ones have a finite amount of power. As I said earlier unplug all and then add them back in one at a time. Try spreading the load by connecting only 2 GF46 to each powered hub. Switches and buttons (if you have them) consume minimal power but anything with a display eats far more.

I have one powered hub with 10 sockets that supports 2xGF166, 2xT8, 1xP8 and 1xLGT. It's fine after problems with one 166 blanking out after a minute or so but after running the GFWindows8Fixer that problem was solved.

Hi Trubshaw,

Those look the same as mine. Unless you can identify the brand and model of powered USB hubs you're using I can't really help any more. I suggest you write to GoFlight on the link I provided and describe in as much detail as you can your setup and the problem.

Huh? They're higher up in this topic. Two posts for two logs. How are you accessing the forum? I'm using W10 laptop and Firefox.

I hope you appreciate it's extremely difficult to diagnose a problem such as yours without being in front of the PC. That's why I suggested you write to GoFlight. You need to start by unplugging all GoFlight modules and plugging them in one at a time and check they work. Other than that I can't help further, sorry.

Hi Ray . I live in Kent  England, pity there’s no simmer close by.

I’ve always found StarTech good in working with FSX, Maybe two of these will do the job.

I will contact GF but manufacturers support I find pretty poor.

i will go ahead and fit them in, as they are good with Windows 7 trouble is if you have two OS you want both to work.

i will pull the hubs out and let you know, and plus one in at a time.

Trubshaw. Don’t buy that. It’s USB3. You have to buy USB2 only.

Hi Ray, 

Pulled out the two usb hubs today , and mounted them to an easy access position. Had to re  route many cables, Copied the hub number down but it’s at home,

Hubs are powered by two large transformers  each having  7 USB Ports

All the green light up, 12.78.  at the power socket plug. So power is reaching the hubs.

All modules show up in the GF Config. Window.and flash when clicked on.

But now none of the modules come online with FSX. None work.

Windows 10,  Windows 7 works..

USBs not powered, but all light green

Modules do not self test on start up. 

FSX path looks right. 

Not sure if I should do PC restore 

Do hubs have drivers,  Genric showing

Trubshaw, in your earlier posts you said you had 6 GF46 units and 13 overall. What are the other 7?

It might help if you list all modules and what hub they’re connected to. And knowing the model and make of your hubs would really help. Can’t do anything without that info as I only know part of the whole picture.

USB Hubs generally use generic drivers so that’s okay. But the make/model is critical. As I said earlier I had problems in W10 with a hub that was fine under 7. Your problem might just be down to that so no amount of connecting will fix things.

Did you write to Goflight?

Hi Ray, Haven’t contacted GF yet,

Hub mage in  Twain could not see make, but will look up numbers on google,

Point to note , It all works on W7 including the two new modules .

this means that all the hardware is good.and Hubs are good,

Which to me means it’s this stupid W10 OS , For FSX there is nothing to gain above W7 , Plus I might have altered something which has screwed it up. 

GF T8  Flat switch Panel,  All lights.

GF P8  Flat push button panel.  Radios , Nav idents.

GF ATC. 1x9. ATC selection box

GF 48 x 4   Rotary + Push Button .  R, A, E, Trims, Spoilers, tug, push back ETE.

GF  46 x 6. Multi display module,  Multi Function controller, Any new simmer this is the one for you, Go Fly  does the lot.

Thats 13 not a good number, 

CP flight MCP x 2 EFIS

PFC Console , Av Stack, Rudder/ Brakes,

Static Joy stick, Controls, Zooming , Views, etc

12 Monitors,

4 keyboard! 4 mice

So many wire, the street lighting goes down. 

Gives me a head ache
