October 14, 200619 yr Although ASV6,5 is not out yet, Im trying ASV6 by moving the folder over to Modules in FSX (Modules folder created by the installation of FSUIPC4). From the ASV6 folder in FSX I activated ASV6 and downloaded current weather. It asked me for the path to FS9, I showed it FSX, it accepted that. I disregarded the GE-pro call-ups as it is not in FSX.To start, it did require the trusted acceptance pop-up...Then it loads FSX as usual...(slow is usual). It loaded the old weather from the previous flight, then did the usual ASV6 thingie and the weather cleared up to local (clear skies) with ASV6 limiting it to 30. This should create a nice hazing on the horizon as it did in FS9...hopefully... A pic is attached: where yes, the 30 vis limit is creating a hazed horizon... To check ASV6 data (as these were clear skies) i looked at my town's station that has clouds, and yes, FSX contained the cloudy info correctly, so far so good,...allen
October 14, 200619 yr Author Only problem so far is that when ASV6 is reloading its weather info, the sim becomes obviously jerky, but this goes away once ASV6 is finished its thing...allenmaybe ASV6,5 will remedy this minor flaw?
