Jet engine sound level from tower view

Does anyone know if and how the engine sound for an airplane (jet in particular) can be increased when viewing the aircraft from the etower view?

Any particular jet that you have in mind?  Would this jet be taxiing on the ground near the tower or in fly-by mode?

Hi, 

I've been wondering about this too.  When I'm parked at the hold short line and a 737 passes in front of me to land I can't hear a thing hardly.  Is there a setting to turn other aircraft engine noise up?  Spoils the realism a bit when you can only hear the birds and stuff but not the thumping great jet off your nose :tongue:
