ILS Approach in FA50 EX for FSX?

Recommended Posts

Could someone explain to me how to do an ILS approach in the FA50 EX for FSX?  I'm familiar with ILS in other aircraft, to include Boeing systems. But I'm having trouble finding information on ILS in this model.

Took me a hot minute to figure this out as well, but once I did it was pretty easy.

1. Dial in the freq to the ILS runway on both NAV1 and NAV2 in the FMS TUN screen (only one is needed, but I do both out of practice)

2. Click the NAV/BRG button (next to the BARO button) and set your NAV source and BRG source as VOR1

3. If done correctly, you'll see the LOC1 in green on the PFD

4. Dial the CRS button to the correct course for your RWY.

5. Click the APR button

The plane will capture the glidescope and begin descending on it's own.
