FSX-SE info pop ups disappeared

Recommended Posts

I used to these little info popup whenever I pointed my mouth to a knob, for example if I pointed to heading knob and if I turned the knob these little info popup would show me the heading as I turned the know or altitude knob would show me the altitude but it stopped doing it and I don't know how to get that back.  Can anyone help me to put this back, I find it very useful.

I did that and it's checked and I still get no tooltips!  I have no idea as to why it's doing this.

Are you running in full screen mode in DX10? If so then tooltips won't display.

To add..
Check with a default aircraft to see if they work.
Some addon designers don't include tooltips in their gauges/VC code.

This is one of the many things fixed by the Direct X 10 Fixer.

DX10 Fixer and DX10 Cloud Shadows are, in my opinion, two of the best addons for our FSX setup. They add so much and are great value. I've had both a few years now and I wouldn't be without them.

There is a really good DX10 Fixer forum here on AVSIM - worth investigating if you're interested.

I have left the second blank screen in the image as evidence that this is FSX full screen, as accessed with Alt + Return
