GNS 530W in Carenados C337 for P3D V4?

Recommended Posts

Hello,

Did anyone manage to install the RXP 530W to the Carenado Cessna Skymaster in PrD Version 4? I'm using V4.5 and tried the following workflows:

1.

- run RXP530C337.exe

- run inSim RXP AddOn to install the GNS 530

2.

- run inSim RXP AddOn to install the GNS 530

- run RXP530C337.exe

Best I could get was Version 1, running RXP530C337.exe first. The RXP 530 shows up when pressing Shift-1, but the VC display is black.

Any help out there? Or is it just not possible?

Thx,

Karl

Hi,

You have to make sure replacing ALL relevant gauges entries in the panel.cfg file, not just the popup ones. If the in-sim Panel Assistant automatically detects them, you'd have a list with some of them clearly identified in a 'Window##' section, and others in a 'VC##' section.

Not sure the second step is required... running RXP530C337.exe should do the job, period.

If that does not work for you, post the panel.cfg file after running it..

Thank you both for answering.

Bert, you mean just running RXP530C337.exe should be enough?

Please mind that Carenado states in a .txt file that RXP integration will not work for P3D users, just for FSX users.

Thx,

Karl

Ok, it now works.

I know what I missed in my first try: I did not substitute the VC 530 using the RXP AddOn Menu. Stupid I am.

Anyway, everything works like a charme now. So, for other users needing help, here is what I did:

1. run RXP530C337.exe from Carenado

2. Start P3D

3. Run Add Ons Menu "Reality XP GNS --> Setup Aircraft..."

4. Choose "Replace Gauges With Reality XP GNS (auto-detect)

5. Select "GNS 530 1" for both "GNS530XP" and "Vcockpit02"

Aircraft then reloads and it works.

Thx,

Karl

Thx again to both of you. This is one of my favourite aircraft in the sim and having the RXP 530 in it is excellent.

At the time this airplane was released, RXP had not yet provided a GNS530 for P3D, only for FSX..
