Anyone using the GTN 750 VNAV function?

Recommended Posts

I have been trying to set up the Falcon to use the GTN 750 VNAV function and was wondering if anyone is using it successfully. I have been unable to get the vertical descent indication on the primary flight display to track the descent. I was watching a Garmin video on the VNAV function and it appears that the PFD needs to use a Vertical Deviation Indicator (VDI) coupled to a Garmin autopilot to work properly.  Has anyone got this function to work and how did you do it?

You would likely find a larger base of users to work from in the Reality XP Forums here on Avsim.  There is a specific forum for FSX/P3D and RXP GTN, and another for xPlane.

I use it, but it is only to indicate where TOD is and I configure the drop rate (V / S) to do it manually

1.- enter "MENU"   https://ibb.co/HK6Lw0B

2.- enter "change user fields" https://ibb.co/HKn53Sf

3.- Enter "GS" or "DTK" or "TRK" or "DIS" in the corners https://ibb.co/9p3WwVy

4.- Select "VSR - Vertical Speed Required" https://ibb.co/TvFPgxr

DOne !!

My user fields https://ibb.co/hHcs75T

enjoy !!

As you found out, this is a Garmin Feature that only works when coupled to a Garmin autopilot... so no, this is not a solution for "standard" autopilots..

As an aside, Flight1 activated the glideslope indicators in VNAV mode which leads to other problems and is better turned off.  RXP is more conservative in this regard and saves the GS indicators for ILS and LPV landings.
