Farewell my A330

Recommended Posts

It's a tough time for my airline, and sadly, a chunk of my fleet is going away. Currently, I'm on a paid leave of absence, and will displace myself either as CA on the A320 or 787, hopefully in 6 months. I'm lucky, as I have enough seniority to weather the storm. We actually offered a group of pilots what is essentially early retirement, and I watched men and women with seniority numbers as low as #2 take the package. In all, over 600 of our most senior pilots retired.

Thankful to still be able to fly my Bonanza, and look forward to getting back to airline flying soon!

Stay safe my friends...

When Samuel Johnson completed his Dictionary of the English Language, after eight years of working on it, and it was finally published in 1755, he was visited at his home in Fleet Street, London, by many of the great and the good. They wished to congratulate him on the completion of the task, and among the visitors was a delegation of London's respectable women. On being invited into his parlour, they said: 'Dr Johnson, we want to congratulate you on your decision to exclude all indecent and offensive words from your dictionary.' To which Johnson replied: 'Ladies, may I too congratulate you, on your persistence in looking them up.'

Good to see you Bill, some of us have been wondering what had become of you.

Sorry for the troubles.  This is definitely one of those once-in-a-lifetime bad ones.

He visited the Regent to learn that his dictionary was incomplete anyway
