Blurry/default Runway and Taxiway Textures on Airports

Featured Replies

Hello,

I just switched from P3D v3 to P3D v4.5 (after reseting my PC), I have the problem that every Add - On Airport has either blurry or default taxiways and runways...I reinstalled P3D, I also did the debugging steps, such as removing generated files and co. Unfortunately, without any results...I've tried everything from setting scenery airports to the highest priority, on to deleting the P3D.cfg. Currently I haven't installed any Environment/Vector Add - Ons, like FTX Global or Vector...I linked some pictures below to show the appearance of the airports, in those 2 examples I used Orbx Stockholm - Arlanda and Aerosoft Zuerich.

Thanks for any help!

Best regards,

Maurice ( :

I had the same problem many moons ago. I don't remember exactly what fixed it, but I think that it was related to texture filtering. I can't remember if it was an on/off setting or an adjustable value setting though. It might have been ansiotropic filtering..

If you're running an nvidia GPU, have you tried the latest drivers? The last few versions have worked as installed for me without any changes to any settings (other than setting the 'Output Dynamic Range' to Full under color settings). I'm not sure why, but I always needed to fool around with the settings and/or had to use NI to get all if the previous driver versions to look right in FSX and P3D. The last 2 versions just worked.

Thanks for the reply!

I tried to play with the settings, also ansiotropic filtering, but it's still not working. I updated everything including the graphic card driver. Not working.

Thanks, Maurice

Your pictures show an airport layering problem... part of the runway/taxiway is clear and part is missing.  I very much doubt this has anything to do with video settings..

I thought so...do you have any ideas how to fix that?

Does anyone still have an idea how I can fix this problem?

I still couldn't fix it.
