I assume you haven't registered your copy of FSGRW for P3Dv4 with PILOT'S at their website yet? You will need to register your FSGRW for P3Dv4 at their website and the upgrade will then be available in your customer account there.

I purchased FSGRW for P3Dv5.

But now with P3Dv5HF1 (Hot Fix 1) FSGRW is not connecting.

I did not see an update notice on the FSGRW web site but now I assume an update will be needed.

Can anyone with access to FSGRW forum or current information confirm?

It is working fine for me with HF1. Keep in mind that you need FSUIPC to make it work (the unregistered version will do).

That was the problem.

With FSUIPC6 installed and running then FSGRW connected to the new install of P3Dv5HF1 just fine.

Yes, there is a known bug in P3DV5 that is causing incorrect or shifting wind directions for any weather engine that uses standard simconnect functions to set weather. Lockheed Martin is aware of the problem. When they find the cause, if they can create a simple downloadable patch file to fix it, I’m sure they will. Otherwise, it probably won’t be addressed until the next P3D hot fix.

The upcoming beta for Active Sky won’t be affected, because they don’t use simconnect to inject wind direction.

I think it is supposed to be only winds aloft. I don't see this behavior with FSGRW on the ground. Ingame it is dead on accurate with what is reported by FSGRW.

Interesting. For me, the wind direction is basically 180 deg from what FSGRW says (give or take magvar). I wonder if it has anything to do with the International settings? Or, is a different add-on causing issues? I'll do some more troubleshooting until ASP3D is available again.

Hello

At the moment I use ActiveSky. I have become aware of FSGRW and received very good comments and reviews about he software.  I am now interested in purchasing FSGRW.  I  have P3Dv4.5 and V5 installed and wish to use FSGRW in both versions.  In order to purchase FSGRW for both versions would I be correct to purchase FSGRW for P3Dv4.5 direct from the PILOTS website and then upgrade within my account for use with P3Dv5 rather than purchase via Simmarket.?
