parallel?

Meaning I will keep my 4.5 setup going for now. I'll have two versions on my PC: 4.5 and v5.

I too think clouds look great. Not MSFS great but nice in their own way. Definitely better than what X-Plane has to offer even with addons.

To me if you want to talk about a laughable flight simulator, it’s XP. It looks horrid.

No need for F5. It will be out at 20:00 GMT
https://fselite.net/

Hey, ladies and children first!
let's say from 20:00 GMT until 20:59 GMT.

And then all the people who just want to download asap, but install later, when others have posted their experience.
This is necessary because of personal psychologic statisfaction reasons. I think everybody will understand.
Let's say from 21:00 GMT until 21:59.

Next are all the people over 80 years, because they have to go to bed early and they are suffering from social distancing.
so: over 80 years: 22:00 GMT until 22:59 GMT
over 70 years: 23:00 GMT until 23:59 GMT
over 60 years: April 15th 0:00 GMT until 0:59 GMT
over 50 years: April 15th 1:00 GMT until 1:59 GMT
over 40 years: April 15th 2:00 GMT until 2:59 GMT
over 30 years: April 15th 3:00 GMT until 3:59 GMT
over 20 years: April 15th 4:00 GMT until 4:59 GMT
over 16 years: April 15th 5:00 GMT until 5:59 GMT
under 16 years: not allowed for entertainment!

P3D Version 6 we will have another system
Day 1 - full price plus 300%
Day 2 - full price plus 200%
Day 3 - full price plus 100%
Day 4 - full price plus 50%
Day 5 - full price plus 30%
Day 6 - full price plus 10%
Day 7 - 10% off ( Christmas sale)

Urgh - who shot at me?

what does in- development preview mean, just asking???

For me an expensive update to v5. Just for a new render engine and a lot of fixes, this is not what I would call an upgrade to a new version. XP11 updated to Vulkan for free. For the time being I'm happy with my v4.5 and Xp1150. Mostly flying online and no need for speedtrees, fancy waves and that kind of things. But I hope you all will enjoy v5. I will read the comments here in the next few weeks..

I would not be doing this to a firm that builds drones and many other defense systems 😂

Hmm, you make an excellent point...

The amount of complaining about v5 on all social media is now ridiculous.

- "No upgrade pricing!"
Well, no. It's a new version just like FSX was after FS9, just like P3D v3 was after v2, just like XP11 was after XP10. LM obviously felt that the new features justified a new version, especially after v4 was their longest-lived sim to date.

- "Not enough content to justify a new version!"
Well don't buy it now. Come back in about 6 months to see what else has been added in the next point release... or don't - no-one is forcing you to buy it.  P3D4.5, XP11.5, AFS2 all still work.

- "MSFS has more stuff as default"
Yes, it does. MSFS is better out of the box. It has been discussed to death on other threads.
One problem though... it's not ready yet and is still several months away.

If I get better performance in a better looking environment, why shouldn't I swap v4 for v5 while I wait?

I'd understand if there was some constructive criticism. Instead it's a bunch of people whinging about what v5 isn't. [/rant]
