P3DV5 VA interface

Recommended Posts

I wrote an email a to VA few days ago, about the P3dV5 compatibility, thats their answer.

"Hello Sergio,

I must apologize but on this one, we will not be able to provide this upgrade any time soon.

I don't know where you live, but things here are pretty ugly and we've been severely impacted on our production and hence, sales.

This means practically zero income since March so we are basically putting money to keep the company alive (taxes, bills, etc).

I am really, really sorry but there is not much we can do right now.

Yours sincerely,

Ricardo."

That sounds not good...

It will get solved by a 3rd Party Developer -- And it will be so so much better (referring to a Hardware Interface replacement for the MCP/EFIS not a new gateway for the Apps).

I will post when it is complete....I am not the one doing it and don't want to cause anyone to go out and buy more software until it is done and I have verified it.

It's more a question of when it is done than "if"...

I'm so glad to hear that.

So than it's possible to use VA 737MCP with p3dv5 again?

Hello,

I can confirm that adding the SDK lines within the .INI file of the 747QOTSII and the 737NGXu, that did solve my problems and I am able to use the VAinterface Version 2.28.1.21684  within P3Dv5.1 and Virtual CDU Version 1.10 for the NGXu and Virtual CDU Version 1.1 for the 747QOTSII.

I have sent a copy of my INI. file to the Devs hoping they can update there installer with the right lines added!

Anyone make any progress?  I have almost $900 in hardware and it is worthless at this point.

Sent in another nasty email but they never answer.  Said I would be showing the sim at the EXPO in 2 weeks and would love it to work.

SPAD.neXt can make most of the VA 737MCP and EFIS work ... still a couple of bugs that he is trying to work out (all reverse engineering since VA does not seem to want to share the protocol they use...)...

Hi @LesOReilly

I am struggling to make my MCP / EFIS Panel works.
Every time I run Prepar3d V5, a VAinterface pop-up window notifies me that it hasn't been able to find SimConnect.dll
I have reinstalled many times SimConnect located on the subfolders or Prepar3d, and I verified it was installed. Regarding your last post, it seems that SPAD.neXt can help me, but I am not familiar at all with that product. Could you help me, please?

I am sharing the error and my log in case you want to take a look. I have given away my expectations to make it work again since Ricardo is not answering my mails 😞

Not able to find SimConnect.dll, VAinterface will terminate.

Thank you @LesOReilly

I'm not familiar with spad next. Would you mind sharing with me where to download it and how to use it. It might be the only viable solution for me at this point.

Thanks a lot!
