As I am not able to get onto the site, can someone please clarify, that P3dv5 is a new product hence the $59.99 price and not a free update from P3dv4? Thanks.

That's correct. The general pattern with P3D is that you pay for major version upgrades, minors are free.

Correct.  New versions are always paid.  V5.x will be free updates.

Finally got in and it's downloading at 700 KB/sec. Yay for having 400 meg service. 😞

Servers must be overloaded ad getting Page Timed Out messages from Firefox!🤣
