Prepar3D v5 Released

Recommended Posts

As I am not able to get onto the site, can someone please clarify, that P3dv5 is a new product hence the $59.99 price and not a free update from P3dv4? Thanks.

That's correct. The general pattern with P3D is that you pay for major version upgrades, minors are free.

Cheers!

Correct.  New versions are always paid.  V5.x will be free updates.

Finally got in and it's downloading at 700 KB/sec. Yay for having 400 meg service. 😞

Seems sleek with the new UI. Now for the tweaking, bye bye Tuesday evening.

If you can't access the store, here's the direct EULA link that adds the academic version to your cart. At this point, it seems to be on another server that is working properly; https://secure.prepar3d.com/solo/products/LicenseAgreement.aspx?ProdOptionID=1106

EDIT: Though you do get taken back to the other server to download it but hey, at least that's one obstacle down.

Thanks for that link. Just bought.

Thought they wouldve had ample servers ready for the demand. Crazy slow

I guess the good folks at LM spent too much time reading this forum and concluded no one would buy v5 😉

You still have to activate it, and you'll need a proper license.

It is still copyrighted data. Nothing changes.
