Vertx DA-62 In P3d V5

Apart from that it looks great in v5 if you just want to sit in it and look at tarmac.

LOL well I guess if you just look at the tarmac then no worries about running out of VRAM like so many are reporting.😇

Big shame I agree. To me this was the most failed aircraft purchase I've done. Even after being so good on release, having zero support its equally important when evaluating a product/purchase.

Unfortunately I have to totally agree with you on this.

Was so excited when I purchased and flew this plane and it showed such promise (and still does).

Would only take 5 minutes to do a post and end all the speculation if this is totally dead in the water (which I suspect it is) or if its going to be worked on again one day and live up to its potential.

The Website is still up and it’s still be sold for USD$39.95 (which is a lot of money in AUD$) and I would be very annoyed if I bought it today and then found that nothing has happened on it for months and it may not ever get any more updates on it as P3D moves forwards.

We don’t need to know WHY its no longer being worked on but literally the 5 minutes it would take to tell us that it is dead forever or may be resurrected would be greatly appreciated!

Good point. I really never even thought about that since there is no reason to ever look at that website. That guy was so highly thought of and such talent.

So this is a website that sells something and nobody is behind to reply to interested customers or potential customers. Remember not all people in flight simulation have to follow this forum.

The web site says "For P3D V4"...

We do not know if it is ever going to be updated for V5, so it is a bit early to dig its grave..

to install the plane if both sims are installed:

Copy "Vertx DA62" folder from C:\Users\...\Documents\Prepar3D v4 Files
to C:\Users\...\Documents\Prepar3D v5 Files

copy XMLTools64.dll from p3d v4 root folder to p3d v5 root folder

add

    <Launch.Addon>
        <Name>XMLTools64</Name>
        <Disabled>False</Disabled>
        <ManualLoad>False</ManualLoad>
        <Path>XMLTools64.dll</Path>
        <DllStartName>module_init</DllStartName>
        <DllStopName>module_deinit</DllStopName>
    </Launch.Addon>

to dll.xml in p3d v5 program data directory. If there is no one, create one with this content:

 <?xml version="1.0"?>
<SimBase.Document version="1,0" Type="Launch">
    <Descr>Launch</Descr>
    <Filename>dll.xml</Filename>
    <Launch.Addon>
        <Name>XMLTools64</Name>
        <Disabled>False</Disabled>
        <ManualLoad>True</ManualLoad>
        <Path>XMLTools64.dll</Path>
        <DllStartName>module_init</DllStartName>
        <DllStopName>module_deinit</DllStopName>
    </Launch.Addon>
</SimBase.Document>

Hello pemigris,

Thank you for this. However I have uninstalled my P3Dv4 and add-ons. Do you have a workaround for that case?

Okay! I think I made what you said and it worked. I used a fake Prepar3Dv4 directory to install the XMLTools64.dll and added the entry in the dll.xml

However unfortunately the lighting is way off. The screens are not in good quality and the exterior is very dark. I'll keep it uninstalled hoping the developer will fix it and make it compatible. Though I have lost hope on it.

@ComSimPilot Sorry, unfortunately not. I do not know if vertx will let you choose a folder to install to. I would simply try. Then you will also need the xmltools64.dll which you can get freely I think.

too late 🙂

That's all true Bert. I have also wondered about the DA-62 in MSFS promotions. I guess that could also be his work. I don't think it was done by Carenado. A MS contract and NDA could buy a lot of silence.

My first thought also when I see that DA in MSFS clips. Probably just wishful thinking.
