Flow items on Zibo 737 - X-Plane 11

Recommended Posts

HI all!

I am creating a very thorough checklist and flow checks for the Zibo mod under X-Plane, to be as close as possible to reality.

There are a few items that the FO can't seem to be able to check:

1.Cross Feed Flow valve (close and open)

2.Mach Speed Warning Test 1 and 2 (press switches - sound feedback)

3.Flight Recorder Guard and Test Switch (press switch - sounds Feeback)

4.Window Heat Test (this passes for OVHT test only but FO keeps it in the test position and does not come back to normal)

5.Stall Warning Test (press switch - sound feedback)

These are all items in the preflight flow.

Any way to make them work?

Thank you!

Zibo mod is constantly changing and we have to adjust every time.

First, make sure you have latest MCE version and confirm issues are still there.

Which version of the aircraft are you on?

Thank you for your support Gerald!

I am using the latest Zibo mod 3.40.21  and using the latest MCE I believe, downloaded from the download page of MCE (1.5.1.4 I think it's the version)

Also using Xplane 11.41.

:)

Any new updates on this and the Zibo in general? We have reached vet. 3.4xxx and would be great to receive an update. The items posted in the first post are still not working.

There are a few items that the FO can't seem to be able to check:

1.Cross Feed Flow valve (close and open)

It's missing a keyword ("fuel") so that he knows what you're referring to. "open fuel cross feed", "close fuel cross feed"

In the context of checklist, make sure the challenging line has both "fuel" and "cross feed" in it so he can check the fuel valve and not the cross bleed valve.

2.Mach Speed Warning Test 1 and 2 (press switches - sound feedback)

Should work. Issue here is that the command you'e using isn't part of the built-in ones. Try these

"check overspeed warning", "mach airspeed warning test"

There are many more variations. In general any request for testing something has the following format check_word_variation + whatever_needs_to_be_checked OR whatever_needs_to_be_checked + check_word_variation.

Example:

check fire detection

fire detection test

verify stall warning

stall warning test

3.Flight Recorder Guard and Test Switch (press switch - sounds Feeback)

Use "test cvr" or "cvr test"

4.Window Heat Test (this passes for OVHT test only but FO keeps it in the test position and does not come back to normal)

Not sure whether it's implemented. The window overheat detection is though.

5.Stall Warning Test (press switch - sound feedback)

Use "check stall warning", "test stall warning", etc..

These are all items in the preflight flow.

Any way to make them work?

In general, we do our best so users can have freedom of speech and not be coerced to say the exact trigger sentence.

It is possible to get Fo to accept any speech that comes to you naturally.

For instance "Mach Speed Warning Test 1 and 2" doesn't mean anything to him right now. But you can teach him to accept it as the equivalent of "check mach airspeed warning"

You would need to teach him that When you say something alien to him (in ANY language for that matter, not even English speech), you mean something he's trained to react to. Let me know if you want to explore that aspect of the app that is little advertised.

Worth keeping in mind, MCE is a fully interactive crew simulation, not a scripted adventure with silly instructions like "wait until minute M1", "say this exact sentence", then expect this. Speech reco wouldn't be fun that way

You can ask FO to perform what you want, when you want, in any order you like, and even using speech that comes naturally to you.

It's the closest you can get to "shared cockpit" (splitting tasks as you see fit) and be able to do that with 23 complex aircraft. No need to beg anyone to share a 4 hour session, where you get to do the most exciting bits and the other guy just there to retract flaps and gear.

May want to have a look at this too

<media>

Zibo mod is constantly changing, therefore, from time to time, expect FO to lose ability to control the odd switch, until we are notified and fix it

Thank you!

You're welcome.

Hello! Thank you for your reply.

Unfortunately those commands don’t work still. No test are being performed despite trying different ways of saying it.

same is valid for open fuel cross feed. It does not produce an action, and test cvr.

Also, the copilot can't seem to be able to turn the battery off or on.

EDIT: I have another problem: in a checklist I have the item

[ ] Reverser one and two            --    Checked

MCE will just ask say what? Repeat, a few times, and then will say "the expected answer is checked" and go on.

sorry to be a pain!

Should be sorted this week. If I can manage to download it. I assume it's version 3. 42

Wish me luck.

Absolute nightmare to download the zibo mod. Multiple failures right after half or three quarters through the download

Thank you! I have never had a problem downloading the Zibo mod.

Just copy the file into your Google Drive and then download it from there. 🙂 Alternatively you can use Zibo updater which makes it so much better!

Thanks for the tip regarding making a copy before downloading. I didn't know you needed a Google drive account.

Managed to get it this morning, relatively quickly, while the north Americans were sleeping.

Should be sorted in very latest release

Un-install previous version via Windows Control panel.

Do not delete anything manually.

Download, unzip and run "InstallMCE" in order to get new version (V1.5.4.6) )installed.

Awesome Gerald, thank you so much! Really appreciate your help. 🙂

You're welcome.

If anything breaks in the future, feel free to report it and we'll address it in a timely manner.

Just can't keep a tab on all fully supported aircraft update status (23 complex aircraft in X-Plane and 44 in FSX/Prepar3D/FS9 world so far). That's a lot, especially when you're not charging per aircraft.🙂
