April 20, 20206 yr I was hoping that the night lighting would be improved in v5 but it still appears the same to me as it did in FSX! Even when taking off at the defalut airport the PAPI lights look like they are sloppy glowing orbs floating in mid air and aren't even attached to the actual PAPI unit themselves. Also runway lighting is the same. I've tried Flightbeam's KSFO HD, and FSDT's airports like KIAH, KDFW, PHNL, and the actual lights look ugly. This has been a problem ever since FSX and up until now it still is the same. There needs to be some sort of centralize lighting system that everyone needs to use. Not sure whose to blame here, the 3rd party developers or LM. I find the lighting to be inconsistent from one airport to another. This is an area where P3D is severely lacking compared to X-Plane and I was hoping to see a big improvement with P3D v5.
