Problems with scenery install base layer in P3DV5

Recommended Posts

Hi
I have installed P3DV5 and the newest version of PAO 1.52 b01. I also have P3DV4.5 installed. In V4.5 I have installed the freeware svenery Airports of Norway. I have installed the scenery and the effect, as other addons, and as last part a elevation correction (base layer). In PrDV4.5 everything went well and the base layer is placed at layer 2.In P3DV5 for some reason that dosen´t work. When I try to place the base layer at layer 2 it goes to to top of the scenery on top of Airports of Norway scenery. What am I doing wrong?

How exactly are you doing this? Edit -> change layer box -> Submit? Is the autolayer feature on?

I would use layer 3 btw.

Best regards

Thanks for answer. This is exactly how I do this. Add scenery-Add to add-on.xml-chose Airports of Norway in the dropdown list-Select scenery "E:\P3DV5 Scenery addons II\Airports of Norway\Airports of Norway airport elevation adjustment\Scenery\World"-Scenery title "Airports of Norway base layer-Change layer to 3_Submit.
The base layer is now on the top of all scenerys. Yes Auto Layer is on.

Have you tried editing it after it has been created?

This looks like a bug, probably came with the option to not have layers at all. Will be fixed in 1.53.

Yes. I have edited it and changed the layer to 3. No success.

Strange, that works for me, despite the bug. Did you try the "Force layer" button?

Anyway, as soon as my website provider has resolved the current accessibility issues, I will upload a new version 1.53. The root problem is, that add-on.xml based scenery is initially created without any layer. There is a checkbox now to avoid that.

Best regards

Thanks for answer. When I edit the base layer scenery the "Force layer" button is grayed out and not available.

Hi,

never mind. Version 1.53 is available for download now. You may have to remove that scenery element and add it back in. Or cycle the "Auto-Layer" checkbox off - on.

Hi

Works like a charm! Thanks for all help. What would we do without PAO.
