Pilot’s FS Global Real Weather for P3Dv5

Well just tested FSGRW for v5 and I can confirm that it has some wind shift issues... The good part is that weather depiction is very good... clouds few,sct,bkn,ovc... turbulence simulation, lighting in the vicinity... rain patches...

Your screenshots suggest that FSGRW is working nicely with TrueSky, that is for me the most important thing. Although cloud shadows are bugged with TrueSky, the overall depiction and atmosphere (haze, lighting etc.) is just way above the classic atmosphere, as above shot nicely shows in the distance. Winds aloft will get fixed sooner or later and I hope the same is true for the cloud shadows.

I must say that while waiting for Active Sky I have bought the upgrade for only €6 because I had the previous version of FSGRW but I quite like it!

I disabled also the upper winds, but got some amazing weather with a lot of cloud variations (more than I had with ASP4 and ASCA in P3d4)  in a few flights I did today and yesterday. Using the normal mode not the beta weather mode.

Having a lot of fun!

Hopefully they all work nicely once the hotfix drops.

That has me excited to see pics with these other WXR

To confirm what you all are seeing, I have very latest P3Dv5 and FSGRW and high altitude winds are thrashing to the point that autothrottle is going crazy and planes are virtually unflyable. Had to turn off all the High Altitude Weather Injection. Hoping for a fix soon.

We don't yet know what will be coming in P3DV5 HF2, but the high altitude wind problem is definitely a P3DV5 bug. Hopefully they have fixed it. LM is aware of the problem.

Active Sky (ASPD3 beta) is not affected, but all other weather engines are.

I personally very much prefer the weather depiction that FSGRW gives me compared to Active Sky. Can't wait for LM to fix their major bugs stopping me from flying right now (the wind shift bug, and I'm an AMD GPU user, too many crashes).
