Sorry, I have never done a video of my flightsim, but you will find a lot of videos showing exactly the opposite of what you are suggesting. If there is something great about v5 is the stutters-free and great performance experience. There are other things which are being fixed right now but not performance.

Thanks for sharing.

Thanks 🙂

regarding the Nvidia settings, you have left everything on "default" especially regarding Vsync.... ?

Yes, my Vsync is controlled by Nvidia Control Panel (1/2 refresh rate) as well as the Triple Buffer, and I have also enabled the maximum performance in the gpu profile.

Perfect thanks. Do you see advantages over enabling Vsync in P3D ?

Yes!! it was a game changer along with FFTF dynamic and locked frame rates at 33. Because FFTF dynamic is still not available for v5 I have included a line in the p3d.cfg with FFTF=0.2 to balance texture loading and performance.

I don´t do it inside p3d because my monitor is running at 60hz, therefore the vsync will limit at 60fps instead of 30fps. that is the reason I do it in NCP at 1/2 refresh rate.

It doesn't make any sense to use 1/2 refresh rate while also locking your FPS in the sim. Have you checked if 1/2 refresh rate is actually working? Because it doesn't in V4 since it's not a true fullscreen app, but maybe it's different in V5.

Meh...I'll wait for the official release. Not interested in MS having excessive access to my computer.

I did it yesterday via the insider program.  Took about 30 minutes or so overall.  Works well....no issues so far. It does seem faster and some pretty cool features too numerous to mention.

It does indeed. If you run unlimited TFR (Target Frame Rate) inside the p3d the FFTF is 0.01, but if you lock the TFR the FFTF is 0.33 (default) or whatever number you have edit in your p3d.cfg (mine is 0.2).

my FPS are locked via NCP 1/2 refresh rate, but I change the TFR inside p3d (not at 30 but 33) to enable the FFTF.

I just tested 1/2 refresh rate in V5. It still doesn't work, just as in V4.. Have you tried 1/2 refresh rate with unlimited frames in P3D to see if it's doing anything?

are you running full screen? I am running full screen, press ALT+Enter and you will see it working.

4.5 is smooth enough for me. The frame rate is fine. I'm into flying...not eye-candy.

4.5 was smooth enough for me too, until I got to fly V5

With my old and tired eyes sometimes even 10 FPS looks smooth.....😃
