Newbie Control issues

Recommended Posts

Trying to program a direct to flight plan using onscreen GNS530 with bezel - using FSX-SE

Appears that the knob only has one function - I can select the first character of the ICAO, but can't go to the next character

What button on the instrument moves the cursor to the next item (second character of the icao field) ?

I've tried using Shift, Alt, Ctrl - placed the cursor for both what would be inner and outer rings on the instrument but none will advance the cursor

I've tried both left and right click, so right now can only navigate to Khrabrovo, Kalingrad, which is fine except it's not where I want to go !

Thanks so much,

Was able to program a work around using another controller (CH Throttle Assy) - Programmed two of the switches for Group increase and decrease and two for page increase and decrease. This after telling the RealityXP to observe FSX keyboard commands. from advanced settings in the Reality XP control Center (Right click on the top of the unit where the cursor changes to a hand)

Would however love to find out what the native settings for moving the cursor on the realityXP is supposed to be.

Hi,

just hover above the knob for outer, and over the knob for inner.

See what you mean .. am used to the way the default GPS 500 works in FSX where the inner and outer rings appear where they are.

Ran into another issue this morning. Loaded up a Britten Norman Islander and chose to replace the Bendix GPS with the RealityXP.

I chose the 500 because I fly using a saitek radio panel. When I brought it up, the GPS knob at the lower right is not visible, and any amount of stretching or repositioning is not making it so.

Not really sure how to upload a screenshot to show you what I'm seeing.

Also, I have the RealSimGear 430/530 package. If I load up the RealityXP gauges borderless, the only way I can get them into windowed mode is to right click and select undock (clicking above anywhere along the top does nothing), then drag them down to the RealSimGear unit - Once there, there is no maximize button, only a red X at the top right corner. Right clicking and selecting dock - sends the reality XP gauge back to the main monitor

@Almostgem Can you please first search the forum for other RSG questions? If you cant find any answer, I'd suggest you make a separate post to keep separate topics in separate discussions.
