Before updating I was able to have high settings and it ran decently well on my system and I never had any crashes at all. Now I am very limited with my settings and can't run it like I used to due to higher VRAM usage now in HF1.

Actually...my vRAM usage is exactly the same as the RTM.   I usually start out at around 4.5/6.7 and that is the case now. With the exact same settings as before. I also must say that I completely removed the RTM from my system...(not the folders of same) and then used the set up to install the Client, Content, and Scenery.   Some people might have issues, if they only run the Client, or only Client and Content...but leave the core of the RTM in situ.  I think that is why L.M.  suggested a complete uninstall of all four RTM entries...and then run the set up.  My RTM/v5.24 and FPS are the same.  Also, there was a tweaking of the TrueSky clouds...that might also eat some FPS.  But who knows...

Yes, I definitely cannot run at high settings like I used to anymore. Sigh...

What about if you turn off dynamic texture streaming in display settings

Actualy there is anything wrong:

my CPU is still at 100%

and my GPU still at max 4%.

i can switch all Antialiasing modes,

nothing make my GPU to work harder.

so i Get max 17 fps with my I9-990k and 1080Ti

Edit Win1909, latest Nvidia driver.

With the same settings I am now using 2.7 GB of vRam compared to 3.9 pre hotfix. I have now set fps to unlimited (30 fps before) and I'm getting 50 fps outside and 35/45 fps in the cockpit which is at least a 10 fps increase. I'm also no longer getting a lag when I change from outside to inside and vice versa. I also did a modular install (against LM advice) but it worked perfectly and all my addons (I'm full Orbx) are fine and working ok. So all in all a fantastic update. Well done LM.

Something about the weather injection also seems to have changed. Now REX Skyforce 3D stopped injecting weather. It worked in the RTM version.

Do you have dynamic texture streaming ticked or unticked

FSGRW still works, it's actually slightly better.

I only use REX as a substitute for Active Sky as long as it is not updated for V5. But now that doesn't seem to work any longer.

I think it's similar to what they will be using in MSFS, in SC they call it container streaming
