Maybe not back then but from all the excitement on all the social media sites and the official announcement, it appears an MD-11 is a much welcomed addition and most likely will be profitable in 2020/21. I wish TFDI the best and for me it will be a day one purchase.

Great to have it confirmed without 10 more teaser shots 😉

It’s really a unique aircraft and i had a blast with the pmdg version so really excited for this.

Hopefully they can let us know their plans for the -F version sooner than later to avoid speculation.

They have confirmed on Facebook they will be releasing the freighter "We will make a freighter version"
Absolutely delighted with this development. Made a lot of sense given the avionics ties to the 717. The 717 has turned into a really high quality airplane over time, I'm sure TFDi will do this justice. Really hoping we see it this year, but whenever will be an instant purchase for me. I've missed my old  MD-11 for far too long!

A lot of great news these days for this hobby.  A year ago I wouldn't have cared at all about getting an MD-11.  Then I started flying the 717 by TFDi.  Now I consider the MD-11 a must have.

Amigo, she was not really 'dead'. Merely taking a sabbatical.

I'd hate to be in PMDG's shoes now if an aircraft that for them did not cut the mustard, turns out to be a goldmine for TDFi🤣

Luckily I retained my boxed version, albeit for FSX,......................but that's another story.🙄

Let’s hope they develop it for MSFS as their press release states it will be for P3D intially.  I can’t see any reason why they wouldn’t develop it for MSFS as I would anticipate it to be a big seller
