PTA 2.68 Now Available - P3D v4.5 Hotfix 3 Compatibility

Hi all,

I recently just made v2.68 of PTA available which brings compatibility for Prepar3D v4.5 HotFix 3 only.

Please note: v2.68 is ONLY compatible with Prepar3D v4.5 HotFix 3, use v2.67 for Prepar3D v4.5 HotFix 2.

I know there are lots of questions regarding a version of PTA for P3D v5. I haven't had a proper chance to put v5 through its paces and see what it would take to bring PTA in to v5. It may happen, it may not. Having said that, I promised you all that I'd keep PTA up to date with v4 and I've stuck to that promise, irrespective of all of the negativity and constant "let's attack Matt for the sake of it" word not allowed (there are plenty of nice people too, I haven't forgotten that).

I suppose that concludes PTA's P3D v4 journey in it's current state - it's been an interesting one.

That is great, I knew you will be back.

I did not move to P3D5 because of PTA, it is not the same without it.

I think ,most of us, hope that you will keep developing and appreciated what you have brought to the Sim world.

Don't take the bad comments so seriously. The best solution, I think, is keeping a constant communication over here or in your forums about future updates and possible upgrade costs (v5) for current customers, so we have the option to continue using (or not, just in case) this wonderful utility.

Please keep PTA alive and thanks again for your continued support to P3Dv4.

Thanks Matt.  Appreciate the update since I just completed a fresh 4.5HF3 reinstall.   It was time to just start fresh.  And PTA takes it from bland to WOW with a couple clicks. Your preset is all thats needed to get to great visuals.  This ver of the sim is most likely where I stay until something better comes along....

v5 is just not ready for primetime, no matter what the diehards say.   Huge disappointment and I submitted for refund.  I want to fly, not fix.  Personally I think this is the end of the line for my investment in Prepar3d, given the competitive landscape (now and forthcoming) in simulators.  I can only imagine what it must be like to develop for something like this....a moving target of sorts with endless more ‘hotfixes’ on the horizon.  

Your supporting us in 4.x over the years has been just great.  Thank you for your work.  😀

Hello and thanks for the update.

Sorry if this has been answered already.

After installing the new PTA version, I used it with REX Skyforce presets as I did with previous PTA version. Used Passenger view preset.

Now when applying I get 4 errors about shaders. Cloud.fx, General.fx, GPUTerrain.fx and FuncLibary.fxh as it says that are not original and can not be used.

Could you please help to to fix it?

So trying to understand the earlier comments , I'm a recent purchaser of PTA for P3d 4.5,  recently upgraded to V5,  is there a upgrade to PTA for V5??
