Anyone knows if there is any chance that PTA gets revived for V5?

Maxime from EnvShade has added several manual tweaks but he does not want to make it as enhanced as PTA.

Another question to PTA: I still have P3D V4.5 HF3 installed. Running PTA Version 2.67 it tells me that there is a new version 2.68 for HF3. I don't see that version in my download section at SimMarket. Strange.

Have you tried to download it from www.simtweaks.com and then install using the serial number provided by SimMarket?.

Looks easy, but don't know if it would work.

Id like too but I dont think so. Regarding his post for v4 it was the end and he was here in November 2019 and ... now, after many mails and PM. He is not entirely interested in this business perhaps.

I find Matt to be an eccentric individual. He misleads us by not stopping by the forums and giving us an update on HF3 support. Then he shows up with an update, alludes to the haters that he doesn't care what they think, then gives us a vague answer on P3D v5 support. Is this dev ever going to learn how provide professional customer support? Either you are in or you are out. Inconsistency is the worst trait any human being can have.

Having said all that I appreciate the update, but come man! It's not really that hard to keep your customers informed. Post something once a week or even once a month on the PTA forum and customers will not think that you have abandoned this important add-on. No rant, just the facts!

I bought Envshade because there's no tweaking needed. Somebody else found the "best" settings for me. Why would we need another PTA? There already is PTA.

HiFi had said in their blog post that at the moment, there is no SDK or API support for editing the shaders of P3D v5 in trueSKY mode. Shaders are still the same on the old system, but trueSKY uses compiled cso files that cannot be easily edited.

I respect Matts decision. This said I would like to have PTA for V5. I enjoyed tweaking all the small bits like ambient moonlight on the virtual cockpit.
