Just a quicky before bed................. FANTASTIC!!!!!!!! With PMDG Im getting a huge increase in FPS, for me HUGE!!!!!!! and loving the reflections on the water

Dont forget to download the ASCA and read carefully ..........Includes ASCA integration for cloud and sky graphics enhancements with dynamic cloud and sky texture variation, now working fully outside the P3D folder using the new add-on specification design – ASCA works in default depiction mode and does not work with the Enhanced Atmospherics mode in P3Dv5...........SO TURN OFF in settings

Sweet dreams for me tonight,

Thanks very much Active Sky,

Cheers

Having trouble with the XGauge. As soon as I change mode from map to radar it stops working, and only way to reset it is to restart P3D.

I'm no expert, but Weather injection seems fine, need to do more testing.

Install was super easy, looks great! Did a really short hop from DCA to IAD. Now if we can just get a good traffic program it will be good to go.

Figures that one traffic program I don’t have is the one that works! I’m holding out hope that Traffic Global gets updated soon. Sorry for the tangent, I know this is the active sky thread, my bad.

Cheers, Pete

For those, like me, who purchased through fspilotshop and have only their order #, the license key is in the registry

It won't update properly until Navigraph updates how AS is updated for the new version  In the meantime:

Go to your ASP3D\NavigraphData folder:

1. Backup your "AS" folder.

2. Rename the AS16 folder to "AS"

You should be good to go from there.

Or, HiFi could change the default data folder that the program looks for Navigraph files from \ASPD3\Navigraphdata\AS16 back to \ASPD3\Navigraphdata\AS.

The default folder used to be \AS16 when that was their flagship product, but it changed to \AS when ASP4 arrived. Not sure why they changed it back to the old nomenclature. I’ll inquire on the HiFi forum...

They seem to have even fixed or found a workaround for the wind shifting at high altitude bug. Finally I can do proper long hauls 😄

Yes but I am flying PMDG777 (used the registry hack) in clear sky with a local condition report on ASP3D saying Overcast to 16000 feet.....off to the HIFI forum earn my freebie

Its possible i did something to the cloud textures/...REX sky and just clicked on ASCA by error

It also doesn't work with pcaviator which is still in business.

Do we need to uninstall ASP4 and ASCA that would currently have on our computer before we install this for P3D V4.5?

Just got an answer and it's a No for ASP4. Keep it installed. My guess is that ASCA should also stay on the drive.

I appreciate what Hi-Fi is doing, but they should not force us to do this right away. They should allow us to create an account with our serial # then when we are ready, we can install the stable version. I don't even have HF3 installed yet. I'm still grateful and will do what I can to provide feedback.

My Simmarket license ID/order number were accepted with no problem. My previous license was for the upgrade from AS16 to ASP4. If copy & pasting the license from a Simmarket email or from your order history, be sure there is not a leading or trailing space when pasting it. At leading space would be obvious, a trailing space less so...
