I hope they didn’t use the same updates from the NGXu for how it taxis in the sim. I still hate how the 737 feels on the ground.

Something is very wrong with PMDG's website. Did as RSR suggested, but lo and behold, the records for two purchases for the QoTS II and the add-on, the 747-8i have just vanished into thin air😡 Not exactly confidence-boosting!!!

And before anyone suggest, already posted in their Forum.

EDIT: Totally disregard this post of mine, as I have just  located my Purchases. Luckily I had kept a record of the dates as well as the Order Numbers I made my Purchases on, as the Order Numbers I logged and the current Order Numbers did not tally. Downloaded successfully.

Did just test the 747-400 at Mallorca. My VRAM is at 7.4/9.1 GB at 4K resolution.

I get awesome 44fps at ground.

Addons:

  • LEPA MK Studios
  • ORBX
  • ACTIVE SKY (7/8 cumulus)

My System:

  • I7 8700k @5ghz
  • 16GB DDR4 RAM
  • Gigabyte RTX 2080TI (11GB)

Base VRAM use at default KDTW with a V5 UPS 400F livery and default clear Sky theme is no worse than the Carenado Commander 114! That’s encouraging!

Have not flown yet, or brought ASPD3 into the picture, but until I start adding some high-end airport scenery, PMDG in and of itself does not appear to having a major VRAM impact. Have not tried the -8 yet, but will do so next...

Curious to know everyone's VRAM usage with heavy third party add-ons.

Such as AI Traffic, Global Ship Traffic, Active Sky, Orbx Global, Trees HD, TerraFlora v2, Buildings HD, GSX, Fs2Cre RAAS, City Scenery like Drzweicks add-ons, etc. and running in 4K res. and high to max settings.

If you can still run with all these add-ons and not go over your VRAM limit and also keep decent FPS. Then P3D v5 is a looking hopeful.
