SODE 1.70 released

Recommended Posts

It came in the SODE VDGS update 1.1

Version 1.7.0 contains a lot of internal code changes and bug fixes. The most notable one is surely the completely overhauled AI jetway engine: The detection and jetway assignment got more efficient. The entire communication logic between SODE and its animation module is rewritten and should lead to more stability and has fixed a couple of CTDs related to SimObjectAnimationModule.dll.

Together with this release, the VDGS Pack has been updated to version 1.1, supporting more aircraft types and adding the “old” Honeywell VDGS unit. It is a free update for existing customers. (https://secure.simmarket.com/12bpilot-sode-vdgs-pack-fsx-p3d.phtml)

Mine went in quick - there is a pop up though about registering with your P3d (check other windows - may be hidden behind current)

I've seen that as well. Looked in the Task Manager and found that the installer had started multiple (over 10, maybe even over 15 in the end) Prepar3d instances, presumably to add it as an add-on. Didn't want to corrupt my installation, so I waited it out.

Hm not updated on ORBX's launcher yet.

What does SODE have to do with Orbx?   Is it too, now distributed thru Orbx Central or something?  As Chaseplane now is?

Whoever installs this will not have a ground or windsock in SH Malta and also not in some other Sceneries.

Why? No idea. He suddenly complains to the Environment Data Probe and claims that the objects he is looking for are not in the client list. But it is correct.

Apparently SODE now recognizes directories in the addons. If you store your SODE files there as a backup, you might have double problems.

I can't find the cause at the moment. Back to 1.68 and everything is working again.

Who is already smarter than me, please come in!!!!

I strongly advise not to install SODE via ORBX. It is not necessary and in my case it installed not at the usual place and other airports did not use it. I've uninstalled it via ORBX and then reinstalled it the normal way, all good now.

Something was changed in SODE so some Developers have to update their scenery.
